Sewing Machine Cover

This sewing machine cover is a lovely simple project to do at a workshop. You can make it really simple with fun fabrics and trims or as busy as you like by adding pockets and a gap for the handle. Your machine will look fabulous on those sewing rest days!

Heavy fabrics tend to be more robust but soft cottons also look fantastic draped over your machine.

You will need to have completed the ‘Basic Sewing Workshop’ or have some basic sewing skills already. You should know how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and be confident sewing simple seams.

Duration of workshop: 3 hours.

Number of places: 2-4 max.

Cost: £35.

Fabrics can be purchased by the metre and fat quarters at the workshop. You can see most of my fabrics online here but there will be others available as fat quarters in the studio. You can also bring your own. Quantities depends on which project you make so please ask on booking.  I recommend using 2-3 different fabrics within most designs.

Where: The workshop will be held in the studio in Dunvant. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!
