The workshops are held in my cosy wooden log cabin, at the end of a lane surrounded by trees. It is in Dunvant, on the edge of the very beautiful Gower Peninsular. It is so peaceful and allows 4-5 people to fit in for workshops so keeping it small and almost one to one. For a map, click here.
All workshops are run by myself, Helen Rhiannon Gill. I set up the Helen Rhiannon Designer Label on March 2005 and have since designed and made outfits for Katherine Jenkins, BBC Cardiff Singer of the World finalist, Natalya Romaniw and many private clients from South Wales and London.
The label has grown extensively over the last ten years and in that time, I also qualified as a professional teacher. I have taught in various secondary schools and am currently a part time lecturer at Coleg Sir Gar in Carmarthen.
Under the Welsh Assembly Government, I am also a Big Ideas Wales Role Model. I give talks to schools and colleges about enterprise and encourage people to further their skills and achieve new goals.
Over the last few years I have noticed a big demand for people wanting to utilise their skills to repair, customise and make their own clothes but not everyone is lucky enough to know how to do just that.
This has all led me to set up the ‘All Sewn Up’ workshops. I would like to help people learn new skills or develop existing skills to allow them to be creative with their own wardrobe and purse strings!
I hope you enjoy the workshops and gain some new skills from your experience.
