This workshop is all about learning how to complete various types of fastenings, including zips, bias binding and buttonholes using the settings and feet on your own machine. You can choose to make a simple zip up purse or an iPad cover using these fastening techniques. Zips are not as scary as you think so come along and find out for yourself!
You will need to have completed the ‘Intro To Sewing Workshop’ or have some basic sewing skills already. You should know how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and be confident sewing simple seams.
Duration of workshop: 3 hours..
Number of places: 2-4 max.
Cost: £35.
Fabrics can be purchased by the metre and fat quarters at the workshop. You can see most of my fabrics online here but there will be others available as fat quarters in the studio. You can also bring your own. Quantities depends on which project you make so please ask on booking. I recommend using 2-3 different fabrics within most designs.
Where: The workshop will be held in the studio in Dunvant. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!
