Macsen Bear

‘Macsen Bear’ is a lovely project!  Made using my nephew’s old baby grows, ‘Macsen Bear’ was featured in Sewing World.  Cuddly toys are always great presents for children and can be made using small scraps of fabrics or even old clothes from the children themselves to really make it personal! Memory bears are also a great way of keeping a loved one close to your heart, by making a bear using their clothes.

You will need to have completed the ‘Intro To Sewing Workshop’ or have some basic sewing skills already. You should know how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and be confident sewing simple seams.

Duration of workshop: 3 hours.

Number of places: 2-4 max.

Cost: £35. Stuffing for the bear is an extra cost of £5 or you can bring your own. The buttons for the eyes and nose and ribbons for the neck are included in the workshop price.

Fabrics can be purchased by the metre and fat quarters at the workshop. You can see most of my fabrics online here but there will be others available as fat quarters in the studio. You can also bring your own. Quantities depends on which project you make so please ask on booking.  I recommend using 2-3 different fabrics within most designs. If you choose to use baby grows, you will need to use interfacing also to stop them stretching.  You can ask me about this on booking.

Where: The workshop will be held in the studio in Dunvant. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!
