'Sew Social Sessions'

The ‘Sew Social Sessions’ are for those of you who want to make a project of your choice, with expert tuition at hand throughout, and a chance to mingle with other sewing enthusiasts!  The sessions are open to anyone of any skill level to attend.  You will be able to bring any type of project you would like from clothing to bags, home furnishings, crochet, embroidery etc.   The choice is yours!

Please just bear in mind that I will be helping all 8 attendees and will do my best to help you every step of the way.  Please don’t bring something that you would need ‘one to one’ for.  I hope to start private tuition up again along with dressmaking workshops later in 2022.

Please note:  Obviously, I would ask anyone with symptoms to stay home and receive a full refund.

Next workshops: –
May – Saturday 14th – 1:30pm – 4:30pm
June – Saturday 11th – 1:30pm – 4:30pm

Duration of workshop:
3 hours

Cost: £35

Number of places: 8

Where: The workshops will be held in Upper Killay Community Council Recreational Hall, Killay.  Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!

What to bring: Please bring your own equipment.  I can provide sewing machines but I always recommend bringing your own if you have one.  Due to Covid, I will not be providing equipment such as scissors, threads, and pins.  Starter kits are available to buy.  Click here to see the kits!

What to make: It is advisable to let me know what you are planning to make before the sessions so I can advise you with what you need to bring.  If you need help deciding, you could look through my list of workshops and I can bring a pattern and advise you with what else you may need.   You could also choose one of the lovely kits I sell in my Sewing Shop.

Pop-Up Shop: I will have a range of fabrics on sale along with some trims, buttons and a range of kits which make great gifts!

Skill level: You will need to have completed the ‘Intro To Sewing Workshop’ or have some basic sewing skills already. You should know how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and be confident sewing simple seams.
